Is the collective noun for a group of brilliant people ‘A Huddle’? If it isn’t, it definitely should be!* Since 2013, our Cotswolds Huddle has been bringing together the brilliant people of the Cotswold business community in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, networking and creating business friendships across industries and areas.
While the venue and format of a networking event can certainly contribute to its success, it’s ultimately the people who truly make the atmosphere and create the value. A beautifully designed space can feel sterile if the attendees aren’t engaged and open to connecting. Conversely, even a simple gathering in a casual setting can be incredibly enriching if filled with individuals who are genuinely interested in learning from each other, sharing their experiences, and building meaningful relationships.
∙ It’s the energy, enthusiasm, and authentic interactions of the participants that breathe life into an event and transform it from a mere networking opportunity into a vibrant and supportive community ∙

∙ THE SOCIAL APPROACH ∙
Networking, in its truest and most socially-minded form, is about building genuine human connections, and that’s the very spirit that has driven The Cotswolds Huddle from day one. It’s not about rules, agendas, financial gain for organisers, or forced referrals, but rather about building genuine bridges of human connection. The driving force must be a genuine desire to support one another, learn from diverse experiences, and create a strong, interconnected community.

∙ THE VALUE OF THE GROUP ∙
When you approach networking with an altruistic mindset, friendships will blossom organically, collaborations arise from mutual respect, and opportunities emerge naturally from a foundation of trust.
This more social approach to networking prioritises authentic relationships over immediate returns, recognising that true value lies in the strength of the collective and the genuine desire to uplift everyone within it.
