On 4 February 2025 it was a perfect day for our Cotswolds Huddle, drawing a vibrant crowd to the picturesque village of Lower Slaughter. The Slaughters Country Inn provided an idyllic setting for a few hours of relaxed and convivial networking.
The Inn’s team extended a warm welcome to the approximately 75 attendees, offering impeccable service and creating a comfortable atmosphere from the moment we stepped through the door. Their dedication to ensuring everyone felt at ease significantly contributed to the Huddle’s success. Complementing the traditional tea and coffee, a sumptuous buffet of cream tea and cakes was presented, showcasing the culinary excellence of the venue and providing a truly indulgent experience.
Adding a unique dimension to the event, our “Huddle Shopping” initiative, a benefit for Cotswolds Concierge members, allowed Green & Spring and Suzie Catlin Designs to display their products. Emma showcased Green & Spring’s range of candles, moisturisers, and soaps, while Suzie presented a curated selection of vintage items and bespoke lampshades, all of which were admired by attendees.
The cornerstone of any Huddle, the networking itself, was a resounding success. It was a pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces and forge new relationships. The Slaughters Country Inn’s inviting ambience facilitated effortless conversations and genuine connections. We express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who participated in making this Cotswolds Huddle a memorable occasion, and a special thanks to The Slaughters Country Inn for their exceptional hospitality and delectable refreshments.
A huge Thank You to Rupert Marlow of Three Pin Media, whose exceptional photography captured the essence of the event.
A culture of kindness and support
It’s always amazing to see how supportive the Cotswolds business community is. The Huddle was born out of a desire to create a space where professionals could connect, collaborate, and grow their networks without the formalities often associated with traditional networking events, and this event at The Slaughters Country Inn was all of that and more.
Whatever stage you’re at on your career journey, the Cotswolds Huddle offers a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, build relationships, and grow your network in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
The Cotswolds Huddle is a monthly networking event for businesses and people to meet, mingle, and learn from each other. Always free and with refreshments and plenty of opportunities to network with a great bunch of people.
