The Cotswolds Huddle, festified ∙ Christmas at The Wood Norton

2 December 2025Today’s Cotswolds Huddle brought us to the magnificent Wood Norton in Evesham — a venue that never fails to impress and one that felt especially magical as host to our much-loved Christmas Huddle. December’s Huddle is always one of the most eagerly anticipated of the year, and this morning’s event was every bit as warm, festive and joy-filled as we hoped it would be. Adding to the festive magic of the morning, so many Huddlers arrived proudly sporting their best Christmas jumpers, the space was a cheerful sea of colour and Christmas spirit.

An extraordinary venue

The Wood Norton is a place with a story — originally built for French royalty and now one of Worcestershire’s most elegant country escapes. It stands proudly above the Avon Valley with sweeping views and beautifully kept grounds that truly are second to none. For anyone planning a celebration, it is one of the region’s most exceptional wedding venues, offering characterful rooms, romantic gardens and endless opportunities for breathtaking photographs.

Beyond weddings, it’s also a destination in its own right — known for incredible dining, refined seasonal menus, and indulgent afternoon tea experiences that draw people from far and wide. Today, Huddlers were reminded exactly why The Wood Norton is so adored.

The Christmas Huddle ∙ Always something special

Held on the first Tuesday of each month, the Cotswolds Huddle has long been a place where brilliant things happen — a gathering that celebrates connection, collaboration and community across the region. But the December Huddle carries its own special sparkle. There’s something about festive energy, shared warmth, and the excitement of the season that brings an extra sense of joy to the room.

Unforgettable hospitality from an exceptional team

So, this year’s Christmas Huddle was filled with familiar faces, new connections, and the unmistakable buzz that makes the Huddle what it is.

A huge thank you goes to Katie, Abi, and the entire Wood Norton team, whose hospitality today was flawless from start to finish. The welcome was warm, the service polished and friendly, and the effort put in by the staff was felt in every detail.

And then there was the buffet — plentiful, beautifully presented, and an absolutely fantastic spread of Christmas cake, mince pies, delicious quiches, sandwiches, and much more. A generous spread that had Huddlers going back for seconds (and thirds), it showcased the hotel’s commitment to quality and elevated dining.

A morning of connection, conversation and festive spirit

As always, the Huddle reminded us why bringing local people together matters. Whether you’re a small business owner, creative, hospitality professional, or part of a growing enterprise, the Huddle makes space for meaningful conversations, shared ideas, and friendships that last far beyond the event itself.

Today, wrapped in the festive atmosphere of The Wood Norton, it all felt especially uplifting — a perfect way to celebrate the end of another year in the thriving Cotswolds business community.

Moments that made the Christmas Huddle

An enormous thank you, as always, to Rupert Marlow of Three Pin Media, whose photography once again has brought the event to life. His images do more than record who attend our Huddles, they capture the warmth, energy and genuine sense of community that make these events so special.
