5 August 2025 ∙ Today, the Cotswolds community came together again for a remarkable August Huddle at the newly renovated and rebranded HYLL, previously Charingworth Manor, in Chipping Campden.
We were lucky with the weather and the sun shone brightly over the stunning hotel and the lovely garden, perfectly showcasing the stunning setting. We moved between the hotel’s cosy lounges and its beautiful gardens, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Cotswold hills and the area’s outstanding natural beauty.

A huge Thank You to the always fantastic Rupert Marlow from Three Pin Media for taking all the great photos from the Huddle.
Strong community spirit
Despite the height of the summer holiday season, 60+ people attended the event, a testament to the strong community spirit we have in the Cotswolds. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring a constant flow of coffee, tea, pastries, canapés, and delicious mini croque monsieurs.

Quietly luxurious
As part of the day, hotel staff offered tours, guiding groups through the newly renovated areas and rooms. The redesign was a clear highlight. Every detail felt considered and purposeful, embodying the hotel’s new brand ethos of “quietly luxurious” and a “slower place of stay.” HYLL, set to fully launch in September, is gently unfolding its plans for 2026, which include a special Nordic glass-sided wedding bower, wellness cabins, and open grill feasting. The anticipation for these additions was palpable among the attendees.

Bring on the bagpipes
The huddle was also a feast for the senses, thanks to several local talents. The Cotswolds Bonnie Piper, Bronwyn Heywood, gave a fantastic demonstration, proving that a bagpiper can add a truly musical and memorable spectacle to any event. For those looking to add a truly unique and memorable touch to their event or wedding, consider the powerful and moving presence of a bagpiper. The sound of the pipes is a fantastic and musical spectacle that can elevate any occasion, from a grand entrance to a poignant moment.

Wonderful hospitality
Guests were also treated to mini hand massages from the hotel’s resident masseur, jazz vocals from Vanessa Lee, and complimentary drinks sampling from The Cotswold Drinks Co.
The August Huddle was a super event, offering a wonderful opportunity for the community to connect and experience the exquisite and thoughtful transformation of Charingworth Manor into HYLL.

The power of business friendships
Networking, at its most effective, is less about a transactional exchange of business cards and more about the genuine cultivation of business friendships. The true power of networking lies in building authentic, reciprocal relationships rooted in trust and shared purpose. When professionals approach networking with a mindset of generosity and a desire to help others, they create a strong support system that goes far beyond a simple collection of contact details. These business friendships provide a safe space to share ideas, seek advice, and celebrate successes. They open doors to opportunities that would otherwise remain unseen, and create a powerful ecosystem of mutual support where connections are not just made, but nurtured, leading to long-term collaboration, innovation, and success for everyone involved…… and that is exactly what The Cotswolds Huddle is all about.
