Corporate partners of Ettington Park were invited to an exclusive evening of “The Betrayers“, a thrilling team-building experience offered by Eventurous. This event is ingeniously inspired by the immensely popular BBC TV show, “The Traitors”, which has captivated the nation over the last couple of years with more than 10 million viewers being peeled to their screens and which quickly became a major cultural phenomenon. Inspired by games like Cluedo and Mafia, The Traitors brings together a group of contestants in a thrilling psychological contest. A select few are secretly designated as “Traitors,” tasked with working together to eliminate the remaining “Faithful” contestants. Their ultimate goal is to win the grand prize, which often involves strategic lying and intricate scheming.
An evening of intrigue and accusations
“The Betrayers” brings the essence of this hit show to life in a condensed, engaging format. While not a precise replica of the TV show, it provides an excellent taste of what it might be like to navigate the world of Faithfuls and Traitors, or Betrayers as they’ve cleverly named it. We embarked on an evening filled with intrigue, accusations, and unexpected twists. We found ourselves immersed in this game, where strategic thinking, problem-solving, and perception skills were put to the test… and I’m pleased to report that our evening at Ettington Park was a resounding success!
So many laughs
The evening started with drinks and appetizers in the sunshine on the terrace at Ettington Park. Then we went into the dark room where the game was to be played, but first we were served a delicous 3-course meal prepared by the superstar chefs at the hotel. And then the games began! There were games, tasks, and more laughs than you can imagine.
I’m a Faithful
I was, of course, a Faithful, but my friend (or someone I thought was a friend, at least!!) only pretended to be and then turned out to be one of the Betrayers… in an effort to save herself, she schemed and lied and then masterfully threw me under the bus to come out victorious! All in the name of fun, of course, and that really is the one-word summary of the evening: FUN!
