Some places just have a magic about them, and Vinotopia in Nailsworth is one of those places. For the third time, we headed back here to Huddle, and once again it delivered everything that makes our events so special: a relaxed atmosphere, brilliant conversations, fantastic hospitality, and a venue that seems designed to bring people together.
The weather forecast had threatened rain all week, but instead we were treated to sunshine, blue skies, and just enough of a breeze to make it complete perfection. The sunshine seemed to set the tone as there were more laughs than ever at this month’s Huddle. Everywhere you looked, people were laughing, catching up, sharing stories, and just enjoying being together. It’s impossible not to leave an event like that feeling uplifted and re-energised, and Rupert Marlow’s photos tell that story far better than words ever could.

More than just a wine shop
If you haven’t yet been to this fabulous wine shop in Nailsworth, we’ll forgive you for thinking Vinotopia might just be another place to buy a bottle of wine, but also, we’re here to tell you that you just couldn’t be more wrong.
Owned and run by the loveliest people, Leesa and Andrew Cole, Vinotopia has become one of the Cotswolds’ most unique independent destinations. Yes, you’ll find an exceptional range of wines, beers and spirits, but you’ll also discover an incredible selection of premium non-alcoholic drinks, all backed by genuinely expert knowledge and advice from a team who clearly love what they do.
It’s that passion that has helped create something far bigger than a specialist drinks shop.
The atmosphere throughout Vinotopia reflects Leesa and Andrew perfectly: welcoming, knowledgeable, relaxed and super professional. Every member of the team plays a part in creating an environment where people immediately feel comfortable, whether they’re popping in for a bottle of wine or attending one of their many events.

A venue built for bringing people together
One of the things that makes Vinotopia so special is its dedicated event space.
Throughout the year it plays host to an impressive calendar of tasting evenings, themed food and drink experiences, craft workshops, social gatherings and networking events. Every event is carefully thought through, with fantastic menus, expertly selected drinks and an atmosphere that encourages people to relax, learn something new, and enjoy themselves.
It’s easy to see why it’s become such a popular destination.
Today’s Huddle made full use of the venue, with Huddlers chatting upstairs on the beautiful mezzanine overlooking the shop, browsing among the displays downstairs, and enjoying the sunshine on the cosy terrace outside.

Hospitality at its best
As always, the Vinotopia team looked after everyone brilliantly. We enjoyed beautiful fresh fruit platters, delicious focaccia sourdough squares, and cream cheese sandwiches, plenty of refreshments and a selection of drinks tasters, all served with the warm, friendly hospitality the business has become known for.
We were also treated to some fantastic samples from a brilliant line-up of local and independent producers. The Cotswolds Distillery, Hobbs House Bakery, Pentire Drinks, and Dunkertons Cider all joined us, giving Huddlers the chance to discover and enjoy some of the wonderful products they have to offer. From delicious baked treats and expertly crafted spirits to refreshing non-alcoholic drinks and award-winning cider, there was something for everyone to sample. It added another lovely dimension to the morning and was a great reminder of the incredible food and drink businesses we’re lucky to have here in the Cotswolds.

Documenting the event
A huge thank you, as always, to Rupert Marlow for being there to capture another Huddle. Rupert has such a brilliant eye, a great style, and a wonderful way of noticing the little moments that make the event. We’re incredibly grateful that he’s there, month after month, preserving these moments for all of us.

Thank you
A huge thank you to Leesa, Andrew and the entire Vinotopia team for welcoming The Cotswolds Huddle back once again.
Every Huddle has its own personality, shaped by the people who attend and the venue that hosts it, and today’s gathering was another reminder that the best networking isn’t about formal agendas or business cards. It’s about creating a space where conversations happen naturally, new friendships are formed, and collaborations begin.
Vinotopia provides exactly that kind of space.
Here’s to another fantastic Huddle and, hopefully, another return visit in the future.
